Some Days
Some days you just wake up and want to read something pithy and good. Full of ripe reasoning and amazing metaphor. Some days reading and interpreting standard operating procedures or writing memo's directing staff members not to futz with the printer because it will cause problems is just not enough.
Some days sitting under unrelenting squinty white whistling florescent
lights is too scratchy.
Some days the requirement to remain at your post, committed to sitting in
the rolly office chair is just too hard.
Some days the compunction to answer the phone by stating your name and rank is too personal.
Some days you just shouldn't restrict yourself indoors full-time to the
cube farm.
Some days all you can dream about is being away...and they pay you anyway.
